D.  Scholarly activity

Each fellow will be required to complete a scholarly project during the course of the fellowship year.  This project may include contribution to the active research of department faculty, conduct of ones own research project, literature review, or report on case series.  The fellow will be expected to present the topic formally to faculty by the conclusion of the fellowship year.  Faculty mentorship will be provided for all projects, and the Program Director must approve all projects.  In some cases, it is expected that projects will lead to publication or presentation at a regional or national meeting.
